Samsung Galaxy M Series to be launched in India on January 28!
The former no.1 smartphone seller in India, Samsung will unveil its range of Galaxy M series in India on January 28. The company in an official confirmation stated about the launch of its new range of budget smartphones in the country later in the month. The three economical smartphones are expected to be Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30. However, it is also speculated that these smartphones will be launched globally at a later stage.
The Korean giant once held the top spot for smartphone sales in India before losing the position to Xiaomi and is attempting to regain its share. The company is yet to disclose the specifications and look of the smartphones, but one of the smartphones of the series, Galaxy M20 has reportedly been build up with a 5000mAh battery - the highest ever on a Samsung phone
The Galaxy M series of Samsung will be only available on Amazon.in, apart from the company’s online store. Moreover, there is no official information about the offline availability of these upcoming smartphones.
The company says its new Galaxy M series will be equipped with “powerful display, powerful camera, powerful battery, and a powerful processor”, but the specifications are not known.
Samsung India Senior Vice President told Reuters in an interview that the Galaxy M20 will carry a price tag between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 and has been made in India.
Reports also say that the Galaxy M20 would come with a 6.1-inch LCD display, powered by an Exynos 7885 processor. The RAM and internal storage are to be 3GB and 64GB and can be expanded if needed. The smartphone is reported to sport a dual camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel on the rear side while an 8-megapixel camera will be on the front.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy M10 from the series will be the entry-level device and come with a 5.6-inch LCD display, as the reports suggest. The smartphone is expected to be coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage with support for expandability, powered by the company’s Exynos 7870 processor. There is likely to be a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, besides a 3000mAh battery.
Speculations about the Galaxy M30 are that the smartphone will likely be positioned at the top end of the price spectrum. The company will use one of the recently-announced Infinity displays named Infinity-U display. It is also expected to have a triple camera setup on the back, like Galaxy A7. According to the reports, there will be a 16-megapixel sensor on the front, powered by an Exynos 7885 processor and the smartphone will have a hefty 5000mAh battery.
